foreclosure

Buying a foreclosure property can be a great deal,
however, things are not always what they seem .
A property can look really good and well maintained but still have some serious hidden defects and safety issues. Most foreclosure properties are listed "As Is", However, our experience has been that this is not always the case. Our customers have gotten such items as roofs replaced, air conditioners replaced, furnaces and water heaters replaced as a result of our inspection reports . These components can run thousands of dollars. We can not guarantee that the seller or bank you are trying to purchase the property from will repair or replace anything, however, we can guarantee that when have completed our inspection of the property, you will have a more complete picture of what you are buying and if you are in fact getting the deal that you thought you were.

We strongly recommend that all properties be thoroughly inspected , especially foreclosure property, by a certified home inspector. This also includes bank owned new construction properties. We have found some of these homes are missing major structural components as well as mechanical and electrical equipment . These homes may appear to be finished or nearly finished but have numerous issues upon closer inspection.

You do not have to buy foreclosure properties blindly . Give us a call . Let American Equity Home Inspections help you make an informed decision and give you peace of mind.
